S.Ilario and the rises
The "creuze" (narrow slopes of bricks and stones) climb up the rises behind Nervi centre and lead to St. Rocco and St. Ilario. Hence panoramic walks run across the mountainside or the crests and offer a wonderful view on the Paradise Gulf. In clear, windy days even Corsica and Capraia Islands loom up on the horizon.
Among the stone walls and the olive-trees, some tracks can be run through in mountain bike.
Those who like walking can go on the routes by which salt was carried to the Pianura Padana or simply reach the Mount Fasce peak or the Northern slopes, where chestnuts and mushrooms can be picked in Autumn. Those who prefer moving by car, can reach Mount Moro belvedere or go on through the Mount Fasce road to Recco (the indisposed gastronomic capital of Liguria, with the famous cheese-garnished "focaccia") or Fontanabuona Valley with its slate quarries.
